Diversity and Equity Scholarship: CAEE has established the Diversity and Equity Scholarship to honor our commitment to building a more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible environmental education field in Colorado. The Diversity and Equity Scholarship is aimed towards groups who have been historically excluded from the EE field: BIPOC, LGBTQ+ community, disabled community, and other traditionally marginalized groups. If you, someone you know from your organization identifies as one of these marginalized groups and/or your organization serves these audiences please apply!

Financial Assistance Volunteer Details: Financial assistance funds are available for virtual day attendance and full conference attendance. Money is awarded upon completion of approximately 3-5 hours of volunteer time depending on your awarded amount. There are volunteer activities that take place prior, during or after the conference and types of task are listed in the online form. You will be notified of your specific task and volunteer time prior to the conference. 

Decisions will be based on need and quality of the application. We always receive more applications than funds available and strongly consider the quality and effort put into responses.

IF APPLYING AS AN ORGANIZATION: Please fill out ONE online application for the whole organization (see specific questions for applying as an organization). If applying as an organization, the organization will be given one lump sum for you to distribute among your staff. You will indicate the total amount you are requesting and for how many people it will be be for. We cannot guarantee that we can award the full amount you request.

IMPORTANT SCHOLARSHIP DATES: 

• Scholarship Application Deadline: August 11, 2023
• Scholarship Status Notification: Summer 2023
• Final Confirmation & Register for Conference: September 1st, 2023
• Notification of Volunteer Times/Tasks: Mid September 2023
• Receive Reimbursement Check: During the conference after completing volunteer hours

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS: Scholarship recipients will be provided a code to use during registration and will still need to register for the conference by the deadline.  If you do not confirm by this date, we may withdraw your scholarship.
