2022 Advancing Environmental Education Conference
Thank you to all the attendees, sponsors, presenters, and volunteers who joined us virtually and in-person at the 2022 Advancing EE Conference on September 6 -10, 2022! The hybrid format allowed for numerous ways to connect and share EE content through virtual sessions and in-person sessions at Snow Mountain Ranch!
This year's Conference Theme was The Power of Connection: Growing the EEcosystem. The connections that we have to each other help us learn, innovate, and ensure all Coloradans have opportunities to learn about the environments where they live. During the conference, we had the opportunity to explore the many facets of connection. We know that we can energize learning by establishing connections between the many different learning sites across the state. These connections build an EEcosystem that ensures that knowledge and skills can circulate across the network and advance environmental and outdoor learning. Participants were able to grow their own EEcosystem by connecting and networking throughout our time together at Snow Mountain Ranch. We also had time to explore the connections we have yet to make. Who do we need to connect with to grow our EEcosystem? What practices and connections can we make to ensure that every Coloradan can engage in outdoor and environmental learning every day?
Below are a few highlights of this year's conference but make sure to view the entire booklet for more information on all of the great sessions and speakers!

Learn About Colorado's Advancing Environmental Education Conference
For more than 20 years, CAEE has hosted Colorado’s Advancing Environmental Education. The Advancing Environmental Education Conference is for individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels to come together and learn and network with one another, including environmental educators, school teachers/administrators, interpreters, higher education professors/students/administrators, youth group leaders, scientists, program managers, volunteers, nonprofit professionals, community leaders, consultants and anyone who supports and wants to learn more about environmental education. Session presentation formats include traditional presentations, hands-on, workshops, roundtable discussions, panels, and lightning presentations that are intended for different knowledge and experience levels. Session tracks are based on the conference theme and strands based on the six impact areas of EE (conservation, PreK-12 education, health and wellness, youth development, social justice, and skills and professional learning).
CAEE is always looking for new people to join our Conference Committee, which helps selection sessions and plan the event. Active committee members receive a free conference registration! If you are interested please email [email protected].
