  • Strong organizational, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed


  • Proficient computer skills (Google Suites, donor management systems, Slack, Constant Contact)
  • Knowledge of elementary education and school district policies

Roles and Duties:
Strategic Leadership

  • Work with the Board of Directors to update the strategic plan linked to the mission and vision
  • Oversee and implement the operational plan to meet strategic goals, budget, and performance targets
  • Anticipate and follow up on new growth opportunities for GTT including, but not limited to, developing partnerships with other mission-related organizations and agencies 
  • Participate on the BVSD Community Partnerships Council to advocate for better policies and support systems for school community partnerships
  • Commitment to inclusivity and serving all people equitably within our footprint


  • Work with the Board of Directors on fundraising budget and strategic plan to meet annual goals
  • Plan and coordinate two primary fundraising events per year including the annual Boulder Garden Tour (last Saturday in June) and the Garden Festival (last Sunday in September) with online auction (30% of budget)
  • Research and write 15+ grant proposals and reports each year, while maintaining communications and relationships with private foundations and government granting agencies (30% of budget) 
  • Increase number of individual donors and level of giving by donors in all categories through communications, relationship building, events, etc. (15% of budget)
  • Negotiate program donations and implement new programs and/or services to increase earned income (15% of budget)
  • Identify, recruit, and cultivate business sponsors for volunteer opportunities, events, and programs. Develop a revenue generating Corporate Group Team Building Program. (10% of budget) 
  • Design and implement a fundraising campaign targeted at parents of children in our partner schools specifically and/or parents of young children in Boulder County generally
  • Use Kindful donor management system to track and communicate with donors and business representatives

Board Support

  • Keep the Board informed about relevant developments impacting its governance and fiduciary roles

• Assist with preparing Board meeting agendas

  • Work with the Board to maintain and develop organizational guidelines, policies, and documents


  • Represent GTT in all donor relations, media activities, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities
  • Oversee the management of GTT websites, email, and social media accounts
  • Use Constant Contact to craft and send monthly email newsletters
  • Use Word Press to make periodic updates to website, and work with IT consultant on website design and functionality improvements

Human Resources

  • Actively manage the recruitment, development, and retention of 7 staff members responsible for volunteers, outreach, program, and gardens
  • Conduct leadership team and all staff meetings to monitor operational performance and efficiency, and provide leadership and problem-solving support


  • Ensure State and Federal Compliance documents and grant reports are up to date and filed in a timely manner
  • Manage organizational budget for current and upcoming fiscal year, and monitor cash flow (Budget of approx. $300,000)
  • Work with bookkeeper to manage federal grant expenditures and provide quarterly financial reports (Budget of $48,000)
  • Work with bookkeeper and CPA to submit payroll, tax payments, 990 filing, etc.


• Ensure organizational expenses are monitored and paid, bank accounts are maintained, credit cards are utilized correctly, insurance policies are reviewed and maintained, background checks are conducted as needed, and office supplies are provided as needed.

$56,000/year, 40 hours/week on average, flexible hours, work from home (no office available), $4,000 Health Savings Account (option to take higher salary instead)
