The FE/WE Budget Manager position oversees the day to day accuracy of the Field Education ("FE") and Wildlife Expeditions ("WE") departments' financial position. The position ensures that financial data is timely by ensuring the accurate recording of transactions, working with Head of Field Education and Wildlife Expeditions Director to develop and maintain internal business controls. This position plays a key role in enabling a frequent dialogue between the FE and WE departments and the Finance Department to understand financial position. This position provides reliable operational performance information to the Financial Controller, Financial Analyst, Head of Field Education, Wildlife Expeditions Director, additional FE and WE Budget Managers, and the Central Registration ("CR") department. Start date: January 10, 2022 $51,000 to $56,000 annual starting salary, with full benefits Qualifications:• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education and in the workplace• 3+ years experience in finance or accounting related positions• Strong history of developing and maintaining month end close processes and procedures• Proficient with Sage Intacct Cloud Accounting, SalesForce, and the Google platform or a strong ability to learn new office systems• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external constituents• Acuity for problem solving with attention to detail and accurate record keeping• Requires a self-starter, problem solver, and effective communicator• Commitment to education Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:• Primarily based at Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools with potential meetings/interactions/work at other locations• Able to write / type / communicate• Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches while using a computer• Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hours Responsibilities:30% Daily Accounting• Oversee the accurate recording of all program revenue by reconciling Intacct to Salesforce• Perform daily expense management functions including invoice coding, internal transfers, and check request submittal from Field Education and Wildlife Expeditions, with an eye towards process improvement• Ensure that all FE and WE staff are utilizing financial management systems in an appropriate and timely manner. 30% Monthly Accounting• Improve and maintain Month and Year End Close Processes in order to ensure all FE and WE revenues and expenses are accurately recorded• Ensure all database systems (Intacct, Salesforce, Xola, Other) are reconciled to each other to maintain accuracy across platforms• Provide budget to actual variance analysis reporting for all revenue, payroll, and expense reporting to the Head of FE, WE Director, TSS Controller, and the TSS Financial Analyst• Approve/Manage all FE and WE department credit card expenses through credit card expense management platform ensuring accuracy of coding, completeness, and timeliness.• Track the spending and use of scholarships and donations in collaboration with Development and Finance departments. 30% Budgeting & Forecasting• Collaborate with TSS Financial Analyst & FE and WE teams to create annual budgets and quarterly year end projections.• Collaborate with Sales and CR teams to maintain sales pipeline accuracy• Collaborate with FE Staffing Director & TSS Financial Analyst to create efficient plans for variable staffing• Support the Financial Analyst in identifying issues and opportunities and work collaboratively with the FE, WE and Finance departments to implement solutions 5% Field Education and Wildlife Expeditions Support• Oversee gift shop reporting, invoicing, annual inventory, and other financial processes.• Support operations, systems, and training in FE and WE. Periodically check in with FE and WE administrative teams. 5% One TSS Responsibilities• Engage and collaborate across TSS program areas when possible.• Cross market TSS programs when opportunities arise.• Contribute to inclusive work and learning environments through continually developing cultural competency.
