Meg Walker

Wilderness camp naturalists work as a team during one week of training and 3 weeks of outdoor-based camp for children ages 9-10 years, Monday – Thursday, with an overnight on Wednesday during the weeks of June 22nd, July 13th, and August 3rd. Wilderness Camp Naturalists are responsible for co-planning during the week prior to camps, leading activities, games, and field trips according to the weekly themes, and for delivering high-quality, science-based environmental education in an inspiring and professional manner. Wilderness camp naturalists may assist with other youth programming on occasion. The Wilderness Camp is based on daily trips from the Yampatika office at the USFS building in Steamboat Springs, Colorado to local public land sites and will utilize established campgrounds.
