Supporting Youth in Natural Resource Career Exploration: Virtual Training Workshop
Since 2016, the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education and Colorado Youth Corps Association have offered yearly training workshops for career influencers, such as higher education faculty and staff, nonprofit staff and HR professionals, looking to engage their audiences in natural resource career exploration. As you may have guessed, this year we are taking this training opportunity virtual!
Through a combination of independent work via Moodle and a synchronous session via Zoom (December 9 9:00-10:30 a.m. MST), you will:
- Get to know the How-To Guide for Pursuing a Career in Natural Resources - a Colorado-focused, in-depth career development tool for young adults - and how you can use it.
- Participate in activities you can use to engage your audiences in natural resource career exploration.
- Plan future training opportunities for your audiences using the tools provided.
Each attending organization will receive five hard copies of the How-To Guide along with access to the full online toolkit and support from CAEE and CYCA to help young adults on their path to a natural resource career! We are able to offer this workshop at a discounted rate thanks to generous support from the US Forest Service and Marathon!
