eeCourse: Intro to Developing High Quality Early Childhood Environmental Education Programs (Fall 2024)

Are you looking to integrate or enhance environmental education in your early childhood classroom, center, family child care home, or program?

Both formal and non-formal educators can learn more about early childhood environmental education and build skills to integrate it more fully into their lessons. This 8-week course is designed to require 12-15 hours of active participation and work and is made up of 6 modules in which participants will:

  • Identify key characteristics of high-quality, early childhood environmental education programs.
  • Describe how environmental education can help address early childhood best practices, standards and/or guidelines.
  • Learn new early childhood environmental education activities for children/students.
  • Develop a plan to integrate early childhood environmental education into your classroom, center, home child care, program or organization.

Although learning is self paced, a suggested timeline will be provided to participants.

Supervisors interested in enrolling multiple staff can receive a discount of one free registration for every three registrations! Email Lisa Eadens at [email protected] for more details and to receive a registration code.
