eeCourse: Engaging Teens in Exploring Environmental Careers (summer 2023)
Do you work with high school age youth? Are you looking for more ways to integrate career exploration into your programming? Join CAEE and the Colorado Youth Corps Association to explore a variety of strategies, tools, and resources you can use to help high school youth on their path to a green career!
This is an 8-week course designed to take approximately 12 hours to complete. Through this course you will:
- Become familiar with the work based learning continuum and where you/your organization currently falls on the continuum.
- Learn ways to engage students in developing post secondary workforce skills.
- Participate in activities and learn about resources to support career development programming.
- Design strategies for incorporating career development into programming.
Participating organizations who complete all workshop activities will receive a training toolkit that includes great swag and additional resources to help youth learn more about green careers.
Registration for Summer 2023 will be open through June 14, 2023. Coursework opens June 19 and the term ends August 11, 2023.
