How We Teach: Student Centered Teaching and Learning in EE

Gain tools and strategies to engage learners of all ages through two days of BEETLES Project professional learning modules in person in Carbondale.

The BEETLES (Better Environmental Education, Teaching, Learning & Expertise Sharing) Project is is one of many programs at the Lawrence Hall of Science and focuses on improving the quality of outdoor science education. Three BEETLES learning modules will be covered in this 2-day workshop:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Promoting Discussion
  • Constructing Understanding Strategies

Along with other non-formal environmental educators, engage in rigorous learning and discussion both indoors and outside with instructor, Sarah Johnson of Wild Rose Education. Earn 16 CEU hours certificate.

Registration fee includes lunch both days.

Masks are required while indoors. REGISTRATION CLOSES APRIL 15.
