The atlas includes information on biomes and ecoregions, ocean currents and ocean chemistry, river systems, weather and climate, natural hazards, historical and current maps and satellite imagery, energy production, population density, and much more.  These layers are all interactive, scalable from local to global, and many are real-time, fed from the Internet of Things (IoT) data:  Precipitation, stream gauges, earthquakes, wildfires, traffic, and other themes. These layers are published and continually updated by NOAA, EPA, the UN Environment Programme, and hundreds of other organizations, including your state or local natural resource agencies.  These layers can be analyzed spatially, can be saved and shared, and can be included in multimedia story maps.
