CAEE has made a commitment to addressing the need for environmental education programs to become more inclusive and relevant to low-income communities and communities of color through its Diversity and Inclusiveness Initiative.
In 2008, CAEE established its Diversity and Inclusiveness committee to guide this important work. This committee developed three primary goals related to this initative: (1)-To increase the value of diversity and inclusiveness within the EE field; (2)-To increase the diversity and inclusiveness skills of environmental education providers; and (3)-To increase the diversity of auidences served and the inclusiveness of programs provided.
CAEE works to ensure everyone in Colorado has an opportunity to learn about the environment where they live. We value inclusiveness and welcome everyone to the field of environmental education.
