Friday Advanced EE Practitioner Cohort 

Starting this year, 2019, CAEE is offering an organized thread of conference sessions on Friday intended to be taken together as a cohort. Please review the experience recommendations and select this thread if you are interested when registering for the conference. Please only select this option if you intend to attend all of the sessions in this thread at the conference.  

General Description:

This cohort is specially designed for individuals with five or more years of professional experience in the development of EE/interpretive programs, supervision of education staff, and/or management of educational/interpretive sites. Cohort participants will participate in select conference sessions and discussions that highlight advanced practices in environmental education/interpretation and program management. The Advanced EE Practitioner Cohort will be facilitated by experienced EE practitioners with a knowledge of best practices in EE program development and management.


Suggested requirements: 

5+ years of professional EE experience and/or attendance at 3+ CAEE conferences; 20 participants maximum

9:00-11:00 am

11:00-12:00 pm

Training for a Team

In order to best facilitate quality experiences for learners, the education team at Rocky Mountain National Park must come together quickly each field trip season.  We will share the training formula that works well for us to develop a high functioning team.

CAEE Annual Meeting and Lunch (with full conference)

1:00-2:00 pm

Training and Mentoring New EE Professionals:  Evaluation, Recommendations, and Moving Forward

Learn the mixed-methods evaluation approach used by the CSU Environmental Learning Center to evaluate its training and mentoring process. Discover aspects of training most valued by new environmental education professionals. Transfer the lessons learned to your organization’s training and mentoring process.
